09. Entry Nine (Riddling Reaver's Tomb)
(Game Date: October 4th, 2015)
With Dahlia in tow, the Planeswalkers plumbed the depths of the Riddling Reaver's lost tomb, contending with several devious traps on the way in. Although she guided them to the heart of the tomb as promised, at the last minute she abandoned them, turning invisible to leave her erstwhile companions in the clutches of an animated statue while she attempted to loot the vault for herself.
Fortunately, several members of the group were canny enough to suspect her and stopped her before she could invisibly open the final lock and help herself to the treasure within. After a standoff with the invisible Dahlia, she finally admitted that her goal was the fabled Keyring of Olidammara, the same thing the Bishop was seeking.
Sadly, both of them were to be disappointed. While the Reaver's tomb was filled with treasure as promised, there was neither the Keyring nor even the remains of the Riddling Reaver. Instead, inside his sarcophagus was an old roll of parchment with a note written on it.
You know, that adventure getting in here made me rethink this whole death/retirement thing. I've still got a few years left in me. Why rush to my grave? Maybe I'll go visit Father Olaf again before I croak. That'll be a hoot! To any adventurous young rogues who came in here after my treasure, help yourself! You've earned it. Carrying their loot out of the tomb, they continued their trek towards the portal to Sigil. At long last they were almost free of Carceri. But waiting for them was an enemy from their recent past; Warden Crackjaw from the Red Pit and his Cleric stood in their way, launching a surprise attack from the shadows to prevent their escape. After a pitched battle that nearly claimed the Planeswalkers' lives, the group finally opened the way to Sigil and stepped through.
