Evil Party

An Evil party working for the Black Lotus was sent to capture the Magistrate presiding over the Party's trial in Sigil ([Lady Simone du Bouvoire]]. They party comprised of Shrek, a Half-Ogre, Jeb, a Whisper Gnome Sword Sage, Ishmael, a Human Cleric of Lyris, Goddess of Victory and Fate, and an Elfen Swordsage who was an Archery expert.

The Attack on the Magistrate

The party fought them in the Outlands near Hopeless at an abandoned fortress, where Martigan was killed by Jeb, and later at the gate back to Sigil, where the Magistrate was killed by Jeb. Shrek and the Cleric were killed by the party (I think), and Jeb was captured and jailed in Sigil.(22)

Another Whisper Gnome, who may or may not have any relation to this party, was observed, chained up, by the Demon with the sentient snake tail at the Gate at Pazunia..(29)

The Attack on the Army

Sometime before the Ship of Chaos adventure, it was discovered that Jeb had escaped the jail. After returning from the Abyss, the Party learned that Jeb, a high level Cleric, and some Blades of Hel, had infiltrated the Army in Ysgard, disguised as worshippers of Pelor, and had slain a dozen or so warriors in their sleep before being driven off. Jeb and some of his followers escaped harm at that time, so the Party began to hunt him down.(31)

The Hunt for Jeb

Reinhalt visited Inspector Drept of the Harmonium, and learned more details about Jeb's escape. Someone had impersonated a Mercykiller guard perfectly (he interacted with several guards without their noticing). Another accomplice visited the prison in disguise, requesting a visit with Jeb, and the imposter guard and that person somehow smuggled Jeb out of the prison, and fled Sigil. The real guard was found dead in his home not long afterwards, appearing to have been killed after the prison break was complete.

Duncan Ashborne of the Tiger's Claw found from the Goatswood Boys in the Hive that Jeb had passed through their territory a while back, along with a human cleric-looking type, and some creepy looking figure wrapped in a cloak who had pale skin and white, featurless eyes.

The Bishop asked around and found out that a planeswalker named Kherion had, a while ago, witnessed an attack on a town in Hades called the Death of Innocence by Jeb and some of the Blades of Hel. The town finally managed to drive the cultists back into the forest. Jeb seemed to be in charge, and the Blades followed his word without hesitation.

Reinhalt also scryed on him successfully twice, once seeing him training some Blades of Hel somewhere in the Gray Waste, and once watching him pace in a room of a wooden building before approaching a man who looked like a spellcaster and demanding to speak with him.(31)

The Party finally tracked Jeb to the Blades camp and killed him, along with most of the Blades; they found that he had been working with a Cleric dedicated to the Shadow Lord

Later, outside of the camp, Ishmael, the Elven Swordsage, a Warlock, and Adamon Ebok attacked the party in an ambush. The Swordsage was killed, but the other three fled when the odds turned against them.(32)
