Torch has been home to many rival gangs, past and present, including the Red Caps (many of whom are farmers), the Severed Hand (one of the weaker gangs, involved in smuggling goods up the mountains,and rivals of the Red Caps), and Melif's Brand (one of the more dominant gangs).
