====== 10. Entry Ten (Mindflayer Assassin 1) ======

(Game Date: November 8th, 2015)

The Planeswalkers emerged on the streets of Sigil, finally free of [[Carceri]]. [[evandariel|Cal's father]] offered to guide his saviors to a tavern in Sigil that was run by a fellow member of his [[rise_of_the_swift|old guild]]. The group accepted, and he led them to [[sylvan_wayfarer|the Sylvan Wayfarer]], a tavern on the edge of the Market and Lady's Wards catering to elves and Fey beings run by a half-elf named [[bosmer|Bosmer]].

After Evandariel greeted his old friend and introduced the group, Bosmer offered everyone free room and board in gratitude for pulling off the daring rescue. After resting and recuperating, the Planeswalkers wandered off to tend to various personal matters. As they were out and about in the city, however, they began to hear rumors through their friends and allies of people asking after them. After capturing and interrogating a rogue hired to tail them through the Grand Bazaar, along with some information [[enial_grand|Enial]] shared from his own investigation into the [[black_lotus|Black Lotus]], it became apparent that their enemies had hired assassins to hunt them down.

[[helga|Helga]], [[tobers|Tobers]], and [[cal|Cal]] rushed back to the Sylvan Wayfarer to warn their companions, but too late... for [[bishop_von_figaro|the Bishop]] had already gone out to the theater with his friend [[savrin_moore_bedell|Savrin]].

Rushing out to find him, the Planeswalkers crashed the performance hall just in time to halt an assassination attempt by [[Yarrick]] Zan, a Mindflayer assassin and his gang of thugs. The group beat back the thugs and saved both the Bishop and Savrin's lives, but Yarrick Zan had made good his escape. The group took one of the unconscious thugs prisoner and fled the scene, retreating to the nearby warehouse district to hide out, tend to their wounds, and question the hired goon.
