Having rested in the cave, the Planeswalkers continued their trek up the Thousand Marble Steps of the Titans. Along the way, they were approached by a Harpy who held a massive key on her back. She told the Planeswalkers that the key would be very important if they wanted to reach the Palace of the Titans, and offered to sell it to them for a price.
The Harpy's offer was just a ruse, however. Using her ability to charm listeners, she distracted the group long enough for two of her companions to grab several saddlebags from Carlos the Mule and fly away with them to a hidden lair further up the slope.
Fortunately, Skippy's abilities of flight and invisibility came in handy, as she flew up and scouted out the location of the Harpy's lair. With a combination of illusion-based trickery and force of arms, the Planeswalkers bested the Harpies and retrieved their gear, in addition to a small pile of valuable the Harpies had no doubt swindled from other travelers.
At last, the group reached the summit of Mount Orthrys and the Palace of the Titans. There they met another group of travelers, led by a Tiefling named Dahlia, who were seeking the same portal as them. One of their number let slip that they were after a treasure, but Dahlia forced them into silence and they went their own way.
The Planeswalkers took refuge in a humanoid tent city run by a strange priestess named Althea, who claimed to be a worshiper of Cronus, King of the Titans. They rested and prepared for their journey ahead. But as they did, Martigan was approached by a ragged figure named Charlie, claiming to be a fellow soldier from his past, and warning him that the Horned Knights from the Fortress were encamped in the Palace, searching for escapees.
