The Black Lotus is an evil society based in [[Gehenna]], one of the Lower Planes, and involved with unnatural experimentation in grafting parts from different creatures to mortal hosts. During the [[pcs|PCs]] escape from slavery, the guards leading their wagon were all bearing the mark of the Black Lotus on their armor. [[calaban|Calaban]]'s cloak pin also bore the same mark. Several [[black_lotus_scroll|letters]] captured by the PCs hinted at their activities, but the ultimate motives behind the Society remain unknown.

The leader of the Black Lotus is [[guildmaster_brackett|Guildmaster Brackett]], an apparently powerful wizard of advanced age. Three known minions based in Sigil, [[calaban|Calaban]], [[lady_scarlet|Scarlet]], and [[llamar|Llamar]], have all been defeated by the [[pcs|PCs]]. [[raven_dubois|Lady Raven DuBois]], leader of the [[rise_of_the_swift|Rise of the Swift]], is known to be a member of the Society's inner circle, but what other members and minions still exist remains to be seen.
